Title: One for the birds???

3 inches high,had no idea what it was until told then it's obvious,Keith.

Bird feeder. Slips between bars of bird cage.

A few firms in USA made glass bird feeders (round shape) that were designed to hang from tree branches.

Spot on,any idea of age,I presume someone still makes these things,somewhere,Keith.

They appear in numerous manufacturer's catalogues from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, including Sowerby, usually under miscellaneous.

Doubt that they are still made in glass these days

Came across some in Holland a few years ago, before we had a bird so did not buy. Definitely older ones made in Germany and prob Bohemia.
