Just wanted to thank Steven for his recent posting of the link to 'Wakefield Museum Collections' showing some of the Bagley pieces. Helped me to get a positive id on a recent 3 piece flower holder which is apparently called 'Wyndham' - which datewise is probably something like mid to late thirties (in view of the U.). I'm thinking this is probaly a quite common find. Sorry the pics. not up to the usual standard. thanks again Paul S.

It's not that common in that form. I haven't found one yet in uranium. The upright Wyndham is more common in uranium. Don't have a photo of mine to show you

Paul — Not common, complete and undamaged. The Wyndham pattern number of 1333 gives you the launch date of the first items in the range. Have you tried it with the plinth upside down? ;D

Bernard means the last two digits of the pattern number give you the launch date of the first items in the range, i.e. that would be 1933, not 1333, Paul. ;)

Anne — yes, but better than that. 1333 translates to 1/3/33, i.e. March 1, 1933. The Wyndham trinket set gives us the date of a second round of Wyndham patterns, as it was design registration No. 790482 of February 20, 1934. The rare wall pocket may have been a later round, as it was advertised twice in the Pottery Gazette in 1937.

sorry - been a bit busy. Thanks to Anne and Bernard for the illuminating replies, and yes, I obviously had the plinth upside down ;D. Re the interpretation of the pattern Nos. - this is very interesting, and helps me to understand a little more about these Bagley pieces - thanks. There is no end to these little wrinkles to help with indentification and dating. Paul S.
