Title: Large Pressed Glass Rose Design Bowl
Post by: Mosquito on October 30, 2009, 01:01:35 PM
I'm hoping somebody recognises this rather nice pressed glass bowl. It measures approximately 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm) in diameter. It's from a three part mould with a 3 part pattern repeat modelled as flower petals. The details are in relief to the underside. In the centre of the bowl is a rose moulded in intaglio. The footrim is ground and polished.

The amber colour looks very close to some Bagley pieces in my collection, though this is far from conclusive. I've never seen this pattern before but the mould quality on the petal design is obviously very good.

Thanks,

Steven
