Title: Baccarat .. Dupont?
Post by: petern00 on October 30, 2009, 07:39:31 PM
This one arrived unattributed and something of a mystery to the seller.  I'm also puzzled, with the Dupont period of Baccarat a 'stab in the dark'.

I'd thought the petalled/rose cane that features would make it easy to identify, but haven't seen it elsewhere.

Any thoughts?

I have seen that rose cane in other Baccarat Dupont weights. Also, this one is typical of that production period, with the canes set very low in a dome that has near vertical sides at the base.

Thanks for confirmation detail, Alan .. especially about the rose cane.
