Title: Novice needs help

Sorry to be so pathetically uninformed about glassware, but I don't even know the terms well enough to know what to search for!

My paternal grandmother had a set of glasses which were for everyday use. They were fairly thick (sturdy) clear glass goblets with white opaque hobnails patterns on the side. I thought (at one time) that it was some sort of milk glass pattern, but after looking at the Glass Encyclopedia and on Google, I don't think so. I should note that I don't believe this was blown glass. If my memory is correct, there were seams in the glass. I'm sorry, but I don't have much else to offer... just wanting to know what it was and if it is still available.

Very similar, Gareth, but the white (opaque) portion did not go to the rim. The glass looked almost as if it were all clear (transparent) glass with white hobnails stuck on the outside... in fact, if I only looked at the lower half of the pitcher (in the link), I would have said yes.  Does that help?
