Title: Is there a publication to refer to for identifying crystalware makers?
Post by: lee-lee on October 31, 2009, 04:36:18 AM
I tried to post this query yesterday without success apparently... I'm after a pictorial book that shows the different makers of lead crystal glass, their styles & what are the identifying characteristics of each maker. Is there such a book? I have a beautiful quality parfait glass which features a multifaceted ball in its stem. I've checked Stuart & a few of the others on a website there's nothing resembling the faceted ball stem.

Hi Lee

I have the same problem . I doubt that there will be one book to fulfil your requirements.

discontinueddesigns.co.uk

replacements.com

Are great reference points for crystal glass!

You're Welcome! The best thing to do, is go through all the well know makers first - then it's down to laborious clicking!
