Title: Atomiser crackle glass
Post by: Margi on November 05, 2009, 04:40:42 PM
I hope I am using the right term here but I shall describe this pink satin atomiser as crackle glass.  I have tried to show the dimply bumps towards the bottom although the item itself feels smooth to the touch.  It has been used as remnants of perfume can be seen around the screw top and it it smells very sweet and sickly.  Could anyone help me find an id please.

Don't laugh but I was wondering if it could be Marcel Franck but only because I have seen another one with the same crackle - were they all signed?  Please feel free to correct me if I am miles out.

New pics showing true colours in daylight.  Also this one has two seams of which one is visible.  They are curved seams so are not that obvious.

I was just looking something else up and came across this.  I have also seen another Marcel Franck atomiser with lilac crackle just like this.  And I have a lidded box that is in this crackle with slight iridescence in turquoise.  I think this is Kralik though I can't be certain.

I doubt it's Kralik; Kralik didn't exist post WWII and this is quite a modern item, as you can see from the fittings. Many companies use/used the crackle technique.
