Title: Green Monkey Bottles
Post by: Gill on November 08, 2009, 04:20:54 PM
I had to buy these just because I think the monkeys are great.  Even I am beginning to suspect they may have been cut down ::)  I did wonder if any one had any idea as to age or what they might have contained.  I think it would have better to have left them as bottles rather than cut down to vases. The edge is certainly a bit rough, would it be worthwhile trying to get them trimmed off bit neater or best just left as they are?

Many thanks as always, Gill

I would think a beer bottle cut down. Similar one on Ebay Item number: 280419325270

Can't find the exact one though - I think they are brilliant  ;D

They look like small wine bottles from the Affental (~ape-valley) region of
the Black Forrest.
