Title: neodymium alexandrite glass elephant any ideas on maker? czech? murano?

Hi all another one from today, he looks very familiar but i just cant put a maker to him.
ive checked all over cant see any marks or signiatures. although the base has circles/rings which ive seen before on a few pieces.
at a guess i thought it was probably czech if not maybe murano (probably far east now i said that)
19cms tall, 12cms wide
any ideas?

I have seen labelled Murano neodymium creatures with that base

i was hoping to discover a Zanetti signiature on it somewhere but so for not found one  :'( ;D

Same here. I have had a dog and a couple of horses with the concentric line bases. I've seen a few pieces that had generic Murano labels with bases like this. My best guess would be contemporary Murano.

ahhhh, see im not down with the kids i dont know many of these things ;D, i normally have to ask my 12 year old niece.
Thanks for the shove in the right direction, i will keep looking may even get a house name to it eventually.. not my sort of thing really im afraid, but im sure someone will love him

I am so offended for the elephant. Look, it's crying.  :'( Woolworth, indeed. I actually think it's rather nice. Oh, no, I'm a wrist slapper.

I've seen a couple of base types lately and am trying to learn to get used to them. One is the concentric circles one such as the base of the elephant. Another is the grid form. Some of the figurines with these bases are good, while others aren't worth the place they take up in a garbage can. I've wondered if bases were produced in bulk by some company, then used by others. It would explain why good and bad things can be found setting atop the same base.

Anyway, your elephant's a nice one. It just has a base that we aren't comfortable with yet.
