Once a year I go to paperweights plus and have a paperweight commissioned to celebrate Hubby and my anniversary. This beauty is by John Deacons. It's a magnum, I believe. I measured it at 3 & 3/4". I am using these pictures with Peggy Burke's permission. She is a fabulous photographer!

That is GORGEOUS! You must be so pleased! If you don't mind my asking, is it expensive to commission a weight like this? Just wondering, for a future "major" gift giving occasion....

Oh, I am definitely pleased!
Price depends on what you want made. Simpler designs are less and more complex are more. Paperweights Plus does not charge extra for a custom weight. I had a pansy chequer made last year and I paid what I felt to be a normal price for one. What I paid for this crown also seemed normal to me for a normal sized one. The fact it turned out to be so big was a bonus! I have always liked his jewel-like crowns and the canes at the top of this one came out amazing. This won't be the last Deacons crown I commission.
