Title: Alabastro-Alexandrite Horse Head
Post by: TxSilver on November 21, 2009, 05:42:58 PM
This is an interesting horse head. It is 6" tall. It looks very similar to the heads designed by Archimede Seguso. The horse is sommerso blown with an opaline core. It is cased in alexandrite (neodymium) and has alabastro details. My best guess is A Seguso, but I have never seen them use this technique with their horse heads. Any ideas about other possibilities for the horse?

Hi Anita,

Nice horse head.  I was looking at horses heads the other day by Formia and the like and yours doesn't strike me to be a more recent made piece either.  It sure is beautiful whoever made it.
