I wondered if this was an Aseda bamboo vase? However whilst it is cased at the bottom it isn't cased all the way up, is quite thin and doesn't weigh a huge amount.
It is 7.5" tall and 2" across the rim. I have a Bo Borgstrom Aseda vase that is admittedly a lot taller, but weighs a lot more in contrast, so I always assumed that these would weigh a lot more? Is it an imposter or are they quite lightweight sometimes?
with thanks for your consideration.

I would think the same and not give it another thought.

Ivo you've lost me ;D
Do you mean yes it is an Aseda bamboo vase - or actually it's not worth discussing because it's rubbish ;D
I'm not hugely enamoured of it, so I'm not going to be upset if it's not what I thought.
thank you for for replying :)

I have several similar items - and I'm quite happy to recognise them as Aseda bamboo vases - without really wanting to find out if it is a Chinese imitation, early or late production run, or why. If they're obvious, okay - no problem, it adds to the general knowledge. But preceise height, weight, diameter tolerances or casing is a step too far. You can find out when you have a real one and a fake one next to another - and then there may be deviations.... but maybe not. And having one certified original will not always warrant that the copy is a copy - if you get my drift. So I tend to be rather brief in these discussions.... especially if it looks like the real article!

thank you :)
