Title: unusual ice Cut crystal perfume atomiser
Post by: Andy on December 01, 2009, 03:21:06 PM
Found this a few months ago, thought it may be Deco, but it has plastic tube inside, so maybe
nearer 50s/60s/70s . Its a lovely unusual cut, spiral ice like, well executed, base fully cut as well,
sadly no signature, hoping someone may recognise it?
Cheers
Andy

The plastic tube could be a modification or a repair - the metalwork doesn't look that modern to me.

I hadnt considered that! The rubber squirty ball doesnt look too old, and tube doesnt quite
fit correctly to the metal top, so you may be right and its had some parts replaced ;)
The material was quite dirty, so its been well used and loved!

If that's chrome metal fittings wouldn't that place it around late 20's to late 30's?

This is a nice atomiser, probably by a firm like Marcel Franck. It is very unlikely to be particularly old.

Stylistically, perhaps. But these fittings are produced by many suppliers today.

Afraid it looks quite modern to me!
