Although I'm new to the site I thought I'd share my pics with you - hope you enjoy

Any comments welcome. Also I'm looking for someone who can polish out a minor chip, I live in South Wales.

Hi Suzy,
a warm welcome.
Nice collection,
Andy

Some nice photos Suzy thanks, especially like the look of your Seaward and 'almost' inside out vases. ;D
For chip polishing try Cymraeg Crystal (Tel 01443 835223) they are very friendly, situated in Pengam (NP12 3SP), North of Caerphilly. They are the only local option I know of.
John
The spell checker is great with Welsh names, for Cymraeg it offered Mirage and for Pengam it was Enigma. :D

It's not just Welsh names - I never cease to be surprised at what I'm offered for "prunt" and "pontil"!! Oh, and someone ought to tell them it should be Cymreig Crystal - Cymraeg Crystal is 'Welsh-speaking glass'....

Thanks for the info John, will be following it up.
The 'Almosts' are fab aren't they, the only two seen as far as I know. Got the cobalt one from the National (Michelle Guzy) and the other as an ebay bargain for a tenner! The Seaward is one of my favourites, it's got a whacking great crack across the base but it meant I could actually afford it. If it ends up in two pieces one day it will still look lovely.
I'm very green about your wonderful button-rimmed fish vase - I was the underbidder. I would love to see it in the flesh one day and give it a cuddle.

PS as I live in a VERY Welsh road I gave up on spell checker a long time ago

Suzy, you would be more than welcome to cuddle the fish vase (under supervision of course ;D), email me if you are in Cardiff (envelope icon on left of screen next to posts I have made). I travel to see friends in West Wales quite often so could call when I am passing....
Also, have you seen the photos in this thread? http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,27152.0.html
Sue's (Chopin-Listz) glass is superb, well worth a look.

Suzy and I have been in communication for a wee while now - and it was wonderful to meet her at the National recently - I got to give her a hug as well as the glass she brought to show me!

I'm feeling all lonely and 'left out' now. :'(
John ;D

We're all Harrisophiles!

Thanks for the invite John, will take you up on it after Christmas - don't go anywhere near Cardiff this side of the mad event. Will bring my 'almosts' for you to cuddle too! Sue is first on the list for the next one that turns up though.
It's nice that there's another Harrisophile a bit closer than Scotland, although I have met the lovely Sue I've yet to meet her Glass. A treat for me in the coming year. :hiclp:

Suzy,
heres a few photos until i get the album updated. I had a bit of a craze of this pattern. Its a little
earlier than shown in Marks book, late 70s/early 80s.
I saw one large fish vase a year ago on ebay, i was going into hospital, so left a bid of over £200,
one other bidder outbid me at the last minute, but couldnt do anything :'(
(If anyone knows where it went , id love to know) It was dated 1981 !
Its a very thick and heavy range which i like. Apart from the Fish, i think ive got every shape.
Regards
Andy
