Hi Alison, happy new year and welcome to the board!
A photo of the base would be helpful perhaps.
It's very quiet here since some days, probably due to the festive season, so please be patient with us :D

Hi Pamela, happy new year to you too, glad i found this place, i have learnt a lot just reading through some of the posts alone. Are you the lady who has the Pressglass site? i have used your site as reference for pieces of glassware for many years now, how nice that you help people out on here. here is a photograph of the base of the vase, its nothing very exciting, but i hope it helps
best regards

here are some close ups of the other two water nymphs

Hi Alison
What a wonderful vase! I have seen this before at a fair in pink on a lovely black glass plinth(with the scrolls)
A wild guess could it be possibly be S.Reich? I only say that because the water foliage on the vase is similar in design to a marine themed bowl I used to have that was made by S.Reich.

Gorgeous piece anyway!
-
Nige you are an absoute legend! Is there a beautiful piece of pressed glass on the planet you have not owned?
Lol!
You would be very proud of me.. I won a perfect Schmetterling on eBay listed as 'pink pressed glass vase' I put on a max bid of $150 and was within a whisker of getting it for $26 but ended up a second later winning it for $58!!! I am now in teneriffe but can't wait to get back to see it!!
You and Angela have set me a new challenge with the water nymph as it's beautiful!!!
:0)
have a great new year!!!
Kindest regards
Antoinette

you are all making me feel quite proud of my vase, thank you all for the lovely comments, do you need anymore photographic details of it?
-
Hi Angela
yes please!!!
I have spent 2 hours this morning searching many websites but can not find anything as beautiful or stunning. Despite my multiple national search for your beautiful Sirenis I can not find the maker at all to confirm but agree it's highly likely a Reich!
Stunning!

Hi Anglea and Antoinette
Ive emailed a contact of mine to see if it is Reich.Ive also asked if they have one for sale as it was on their stall when I last saw the same vase.I would love to buy it! Awaiting their reply.

hi, right here is one photo (i have to use my phone and the email is rubbish) so please bear with me for the rest.

here are three more images
-
Hi Alison,
base is looking convincingly good for Bohemia, however would like to see more photos especially of the top rim in and out which does not look sophisticated enough for Reich on your first image.
Nigel (hi ! :) ) refers to this bowl I guess:
http://www.pressglas-pavillon.de/schalen/06561.html
Also Sabino and Davidson and others made similar seaweeds decoration; please bear with me, so far I'm not really happy with an attribution to Reich :rn:
-
here are some pics of the rim
-
hi Pamela, i don't really think its Reich either, just a shame there is no makers mark on it
-
Hi again!
Pamela this is the Reich bowl I was referring to with the fish and seaweed design. Its a lovely bowl and I just thought the water foliage was a bit similar. Was just a guess at Reich.I have never had the pleasure of seeing any old Reich catalogues would be wonderful to see I can bet!
My contact got back to me and they used to have it in amber but it sold immediately which is understandable!

It's an ebay auction from 2007, so I have my doubts
-
Nothing like that in the catalogues we have, I'm afraid.
Could it be US glass? Cambridge ? :ooh:
-
claretjugThomas, please do you know the seller of rosieposie's linked vase: http://cgi3.ebay.at/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=kunst19
are they reliable in their attribution - as to me Schlevogt sounds strange in this case :pb:
Thank you
:nogos:
-
But it is the same pattern as Alison's blue one isn't it? I know it was sold a while ago, but at least it gives some provenance....always assuming it is correct provenance..... :usd:
-
:-* Yes Rosie, same pattern, but I dare to doubt that attribution :sm:

I´m no expert for Loetz decors or Josef Hoffmann design, there may be some wishful thinking in their listings?
-
Hi Alison
Did you ever find an attribution to your vase? Or did you manage to sell it?
Best wishes Nige
-
Hello
I myself have just aquired this same vase in flint frosted except mine has the main body of the vase decorated with ripples.
Reich made a small dish/ashtray with 2 ladies on it and the figures on this vase look very similar to those.
Best wishes Nige
