Title: Green vase similar to Jacobean
Post by: Connie on November 08, 2005, 10:26:29 AM
Does anyone know this patten name and who made it?  It is not Tea Room.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7363214971&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1

I had one like this 7-8 years ago and tried in vain to identify it.  I even put in the foreground when I was photographed for the NY Times (but that is another story). I was never able to id it and I finally sold it unidentified.

Then I bought Glen's A Century of Carnival Glass several years ago and when I read it, I saw the 2 Jacobean vases pictured on page 100.  By then I no longer had the vase or a picture of it. So I was working from memory and a copy of a fuzzy newspaper article

Then lo and behold this morning I saw the above eBay auction and it renewed my interest in this vase.  Now having a picture of the vase and the book at the same time, I can see they are similar but not identical. So long story short, does anyone know the identity of the vase?

Thanks.

Connie, I've been racking my brains (not a lot to work on   ) about this item, but I'm sorry I can't come up with an answer yet. I'll stay on the case...........

Thank you, Glen.  This is a piece of glass that has been haunting me for about 8 years
