I collect hand vases and have over 80. Have been collecting since 1994. As for those who say hand vases started with the Statue of Liberty, this is may not correct. The story I have heard is that Queen victoria had quite a fascination with hands, had hers and other royals' hands sculpted and this began the craze of hand vases and the hand motif on other items e.g. doorknockers, calling cards etc.

I am also a collector of Hand Vases and currently have 149 different ones... I have been collecting for 25+ years... I have many Parian, Fenton, Asian & Bohemian... also 6 different left hand vases... I am glad to see there is another collector that has such enthusiasm for this unique item...
