Title: Pressed glass Swan, Gravy Boat?
Post by: meegs on September 13, 2011, 03:59:54 AM
Oh Dear,
I do not know what possessed me, perhaps it was the weather or cosmic rays but this piece of I assume "50's or 60's glassware has come home to live in my Kitch-en!

He has an evil glare (and is currently using it trying to intimidate my delicate little jade sparrow on the window sill) and his neck is slightly off-centre.
I assume he's a gravy boat or jug, with his substantial neck the handle and his tail the pourer. His pressed detail is lovely and sharp although quite simplistic.
Apart from the number 10 on his underside he has no distinguishing marks.
Does anyone have any suggestions about who may have made him. The colour appears to have been applied after manufacture and is similar to some German kitchen bowls.
Cheers
meegs

I've merged these 2 queries as they seem to be the same item in different colourways.

I think the numbers are probably mould numbers... no idea about maker though. Anyone?
