Hi All,
Can someone help with any info regarding the attached vase. (please excuse quality of photos for moment).
Just over 7 inches high, relatively heavy - just under a kilo and also thick glass. Flat polished base.
Signed to the bottom edge Daum France and also has DF signed to the back. (Photos attached)
Any info on authenticity and age would be appreciated. I gather that inclusion of 'France' is prob a good sign.
All thoughts appreciated.
Cheers,
Greg :rn:

Don't claim to be an expert in Daum but the signatures I've seen usually say 'Daum Nancy' ,this maybe a contemporary piece,I believe they are still making glass, according to a book I have(bit old now,8 years)they are called Cristallerie Daum, you better wait and see what others have to say,it looks a little 'Scandi' to me,hope I'm wrong and you have a piece of Daum,I'd like one myself,Keith

Hi
looks very seventies to me -they started this clear organic style right after the war but I'd say this was 60s or 70s
the signature fits that too
not sure about the extra DF though, not seen that before -but you do occasional get extra initials on Daum glass
cheers
Mike
PS Daum Nancy would have made it earlier

Thanks Mike - From what i gather the signature seems OK, I believe this signature was used during the 70s and 80s onwards.
After the war Daum dropped the 'Nancy' and 'Cross of Lorraine' from their signature and the more contemporary pieces on the whole are just signed Daum France.
Thanks for your thoughts any other input most welcome.
Cheers,
Greg.

I have a book here on Daum, it illustrates 157 variations of signature (yours looks fine). :spls:
