Signed vase/dish, holmegaard?
3" high, 3 inches across all sides
can't get a decent photo of name.
-
Doesn't look like Holmegaard. From what I can see of the vase, it looks more Swedish.
For photographing signatures, try moving the camera away from the vase and turning on the 'macro' feature (usually represented by a flower symbol on digital cameras) before zooming in. Failing that, try putting it on a scanner - this sometimes works.

What Nic said, and with signature, try at different angles, take a number of snaps, you usually
find 1 or 2 goodones :D
-
A kind donator of information asked me to pass on that the signature will read 'Val St. Lambert', and it is a cigarette-holder from the 1970s.
-
Yes! I think you're right - it definitely does have the look of VSL about it and I once had an identical shaped VSL holder (but with the addition of a green overlay and with cutting/engraving). The photo was used on the GMB calendar a few years back - I don't have photos anymore unfortunately.
-
Hi, thanks for the info, please see picture of signature to be 100% sure.
-
Hi squizoid, good photo, ;)
Its not as easy to make out Val st Lambert as most VSL pieces ive seen, i must admit,
usually much more obvious than that, but i think thats what its meant to read!
I wonder if others agree??
Cheers
Andy
