Can anyone please help in the id of these 2 vases which i got off of ebay £5 . They have a clear base and coloured top , they also have polished pontils at the bottom and also taper to the top. Any help will be appreciated .
The dimensions of the vases are :
HEIGHT 6.5"
BOTTOM 2.5"
TOP 2"

After looking at various glass makers i think that these may be RIIHMAKI FROM THE 1960S but still unsure , so if anybody is able to help in regards to the 2 vases it will be greatly appreciated .

Doubt that they are Riihimaki, the quality doesn't look good enough and there is little in the way of design. But I could be wrong

I'm not totally convinced either but Riihimaki did make a tapering cylindrical vase a bit like yours Andy (in the late 60s/early 70s) however it was much larger, more like 10 inches in height - I had one once in red but I don't know if they made them in smaller sizes. The polished pontil would also be wrong for Riihimaki. Can we see a photo of the base please?

Here you are PIP a couple of pictures of the base . If they are not very good let me know and i will get some better pictures in daylight for you . Alo would a mod be able to sort the size of the pictures out please if one is avaliable .

Doubtful that these are Riihimaki - the bases aren't right.

The colour and the base say Magnor to me. I would also say the design (or lack thereof) hints at Magnor, but I'm letting my unkind side speak there.

PS Just saw Keith's post with a green Magnor in the Scandi section, if you want to compare. http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,31139.0.html
