Title: Neo-thingy Colour Change Glass Tumblers
Post by: chloe on January 27, 2010, 10:13:04 PM
I have a gorgeous set of six of these tumblers measuring 4 2/8 inches high.  Unmarked with a concave base.  Any ideas?

TIA

Thanks Anne - I was wondering the same thing.  The auction had them down as Murano (and I bought them unseen  :-[) - I was very pleased when i picked them up!

I opened a french retail mag today and saw some glasses advertised which have similarities to these although clearly not the same and only in clear.  Am I allowed to photograph the pic in the mag and upload on here so peeps can see?  The model of the glasses is Alternato.

If it were evident I would certainly mention it. Mine ony have a disappointing " made in France" label...

Thank you Ivo - great to at least find out the country!  They are so lovely - I was going to sell them bu can't bring myself to part with them yet.  The only other thing I was thinking is that the colour of the glass when lilac is absolutely identical to a pair of Moser candlesticks I own (signed) - but I suspect it is just the case with all this type of glass (the quality certainly isnt the same!)

I also have a single one with a height of 158mm (~6 inch). Because of it´s massive
stem I so far hadn´t considered it to be a drinking glass. Sorry, can´t find my camera
at the mo´.   ::)
