Picked this up this morning & I know I've seen something similiar on the board before, but don't know the proper terms to start a search under an old topic. Spent 45 minutes cleaning it up (metal work & filthy glass), 7" diameter, 6" height, diamond quilting, good iridescent pearl/pink color, two layes of glass, white & casing. Decent weight. I think the metal work is copper as it was green & black tarnish. No pontil that i can see. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Ooh it has scrubbed up nice. I think the metalwork is brass though.

Christine I think you're are right as I'm not that savy on metals if it isn't silver overlay. All those protrusions were gray/brown with dirt/dust on the inside are well as the entire bottom & it actually looked grayish when you looked at it from the outside. Best thing was there was no damage anywhere when i got it cleaned. Ken

Copper would be too soft to use, it would damage easily. :o
