Hopefully better sized pictures for this vase, I love this vase and would love to know more about it?

Another tip ... it is useful to state the actual size of items (diameter / height etc.) in the post.

Using a familiar object for size comparison is ok within a pic, but would people always guess the size of the comparsion object? For example, is your apple one of the smaller varieties or is it a Granny Smith "whopper"? Same applies when folks use a coin from their own country - many folk have no idea how large other peoples' coins are.

It's a fazzoletto--handkerchief--vase originally produced by Venini. Your vase has a nice flow to it, which is typical of a good Venini, but the yellow doesn't seem quite right. However, they were made in a wide range of colours. If it is Venini, it will be signed, acid etched. in fact. The signature can be hard to see (I have one where I can see the writing only on some days), so look carefully.

Other companies copied Venini, both in Murano (Salviati did a lot),  and almost anywhere where glass was made. The base is a key element. There's no extra glass in A Venini or Salviati base, both of which are slightly concave so the the vase stands on its rim. The Venini has a polished pontil, whereas the Salviati can be quite rough. If the bottom is flat and clear gas, look elsewhere for a maker.

If you want a more definite opinion, add picture of the base. Last thought: it looks a little heavy for a Venini. Is the glass thick or thin and is it cased (covered in clear glass)?

Thanks for the Tip's  Kev and LL and I add more detail to the size over the weekend, including a bottom shot.
Off to work now and my footie team is playing tonight so I doubt I'll be active, and it has a polished pontil if my memory serves me correct!
Reading through some of the posts last night it's quite clear the bottoms can give you good pointers! So bottom shots are a must and size.

Bottoms are essential, as so many "old" designs are coming out of China and Eastern Europe, including these hankie vases. They are not aimed at the collecting market but they do make life difficult for collectors.

Height 200mm and now pictures of the bottom, could not see signature but I have no magnifying glass, something to invest in...

Those pictures help. Not Venini or Salviati. Might be a difficult one to track down as so many different companies produced this style.

It's feels good and not poor in quality so hopefully someone might of came across one, I don't why but I think its British...

Chance made them in Britain, but I'm not too familiar with them. If I remember they were more slumped glass than blown glass. Yours looks more fluid and it's cased.

It is very smooth with no pontil mark.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was from China or Eastern Europe in that case
