Correction needed if i am in anyway wrong in the description of this piece! Way out of my depth on this type of glass. :spls: Got this today with a lovely Sommerso Clam Shell :chky: from the charity shop during lunch. I initially wasn't going to buy this, but the lady who works there is tooooooo damn charming and I thought I could do with a speculative purchase.
Opaline Glass? Made in a mould as it has the grooves down the side. Still has it's label (which doesn't tell much) 'Made In Italy'. Stands a little over 15cm tall. I have attached pics for you pleasure! Also has a lovely bit of weight to it which I am impressed about. Empoli Glass?
All the experts on this type of glass, give me some knowledge! Age (60's?)? Possible maker? ;D

Eek...Opalescent Glass instead?
Was reading this thread and doing some research on this new piece of mine.

The glass has a blue hue through it. And I have decided to keep this piece. I have fallen in love with it so to speak, and it makes a great contrast to the SVdA pieces!

Ice cream server from STIVER - these have been in production since the sixties. The glass is milk glass.

I thought opalescent glass generally has a reddish/orange hue when you hold it up to the light
