Title: Controlled bubble aubergine coloured inkwell? ID help needed, please
Post by: kmax70 on February 11, 2010, 04:50:53 PM
I wonder if anyone has any ideas about this.   I have had it up on the Whitefriars help site, but it doesn't seem to be Whitefriars.   It looks like an inkwell with a 1 in deep by 1 in diameter well inside.   It has small, evenly spaced, controlled bubbles and part-polished pontil.   It is approx. 3 ins in diameter and 2.25 ins tall. The base has a sunburst of elongated bubbles around the pontil.   It is quite a heavy piece of glassware.   Many thanks for any help with this.

I just wonder if it could be a candle holder?

Indeed it could - why didn't I think of that???   Cold weather gone to the brain perhaps.  Thanks for that idea.  KM.
