Title: Liquor Glass ID please

Not my most expensive piece of glass, but qua design, one of my favourites.
Does anyone know who made this? 17cm tall.

Hi Della

Could it be a Cambrige nude stem?

I can't tell because the angle of the glass in the two pictures is different.

You might have to turn yours around so that it's oriented the same as in the replacements.com picture, and check whether it's exactly the same in every detail.

Cathy.

She's got it - yeah baby she's got it.

VENUS is her name

Made by Cristalleries Royales de Champagne, located in BAYEL, France.

Thanks Ivo. Makes more sense that it is French being bought here in NL.

That's definitely the one, isn't it, but I do think the name might be wrong, Ivo. Replacement's bayel venus is the armless wonder:

Terry, we both fell into the same trap. Is the information on this page right?

I scanned the pic from the Cristalleries Royales de Champagne (Bayel) brochure, and it really IS called VĂ©nus.  The other model called Bacchus has one hand above the head, the other points down.

There is no "Venus de Milo" in the Bayel collection (that is the one who got no arms due to an unfortunate accident with a washing machine) I can understand the confusion @ replacements, though.

I think the info on allaboutglass dot org may be incomplete.

I can't see the original image that was posted, I guess it was deleted. I'm posting a couple of photos of a Cambridge "Statuesque" Nude stem so others can compare with the Bayel that Ivo posted.
