Picked this up cheap today, 12cm tall 15cm wide. Any ideas? cheers

To what extent have the stripes been marvered into the glass, or, I guess a better way of putting it, how much do the stripes stick out from the glass? What's the base like?

Hi. There is some texture to the vase from the colored bits, the base has very little if any wear. Cheers
-
We need a base picture please. We always need base pictures...
-
Here are some pics of the base... quite hard to photograph but hopefully they may help. Cheers

Would this be called Peloton glass?
-
Hmm, looks very similar doesn't it. What country is that stuff from? cheers

am i seeing things :chky:, i can see what looks like a signiature on the full base picture and the side picture on the blue strip looks like PUET ??

Hi Michelle. No unfortunately I think that was possibly the remains of a sticker that distorted the photo. Cheers

I thought it was dust but didn't want to mention it in case i sounded rude. :24:

The canes look thicker than what I think of as peloton. This looks more like a scramble to me. It could be from many places. It doesn't strike me as being Muranese type glass.
-
Might also be worth searching the board for peloton - there are a fair number of earlier topics with photos for comparison.
-
Thanks for the advice, will do so shortly. Cheers

Peloton glass is (usually??) made with thin strips of single-coloured glass applied to the outer surface, not with lengths of cane that show a colour coating over a white (opal) inner core. Also, Peloton glass is mostly of a more delicate appearance than this item.
This could be seen as a modern version of the old Peloton ware, but I tend to agree with Anita that "scramble" would be a better description.
