Can anyone help identify. Many thanks
-
Murano, Ferro & Lazzarini.
"Aries" from the Zodiac range which was, and still is, very popular.
Made mid 1970s to, at least, 1990

Thanks for your info. KevH I have got another one similar with a man and a bow and arrow in gold. Sagittarius I think. Now with the information you have provided me with, I am assuming this also would be Murano. Once again, thanks!

Yes, all with the two rows of large canes aorund one of the twelve Zodiac signs.

The one with a bow and arrow wouldn't be from Nottingham??????

Here are two in box, one with factory label - just bought

Hi Keith, if it were from nottingham it sherwood be unusual.

Groan! If we don't have a Moderator of bad jokes, it's time we did! ;D
On the Nottingham Forest front (no, not the football team)' I don't know of any glass makers there since Firefly Glass closed and Chris Aston went off to Bermuda.
Oh and back to the point, I have an Aquarius example of the Murano weight somewhere in my collection.

If anyone ever finds a Gemini, I would be interested. :)
-
Just bought - has 'hand Made Murano 1980' acid etched to base
-
Hi, Just unpacked this Murano Sagittarius P/W no markings on base but sure looks good.
I wonder what a full set would look like WOW

Thanks Dave, I will have a look and see... isn't it a lovely picture, so much nicer than the usual 'sterile' portrayal of Gemini. :)

Just had a look Dave, but have missed 2 of them :'( so I have put it on watch... neither of them were as nice as yours though in the pale blue, so if you ever see another, please would you PM me on the little envelope on the left? :)
