Title: Sklo Union: Art Before Industry-- Question for Anne
Post by: Cathy B on March 05, 2010, 01:10:06 AM
Hi Anne -

I have a friend who hasn't got any internet access at all, but who is interested in buying Marcus' book. He therefore won't have Paypal either. How might he go about contacting Hope Fountain Books (or you), and what payment options might be available?

Secondly, the database doesn't seem to run on Windows 7. Is there an update? Alternatively, the catalogues themselves are accessable and it is possible to work from those instead, but does the database contain more information?

I've asked here, rather than email or pm, as the info might be useful to others thinking of buying the book - but ultimately this probably needs to be moved to Glass Books. Don't worry, I'll do that :) ).

Hi Cathy, payment may be made by IBAN or they can send a sterling cheque by post - both work with the order form off the SkloUnion website if you could download and print it off for your friend: http://www.sklounion.com/SU_Book_Order_Form.pdf

There is an update for all the database versions - see the link on your CD for the URL. I don't know about Windows 7 as the software pre-dates its issue, but I'll ask the developer if he can add more info. There are no further updates to the software planned at this time.

Keith - It'd be awkward, as he's on the other side of Australia.

Anne, many thanks, I'll pass it on.
