Post by: lowersaxony on March 05, 2010, 11:59:23 PM
i am no expert for old or antique glass so i have absolutely no idea or info about this decanter wich a have bought on a german fleamarket
for a paltry sum of five euro. it looks really fab to me and any info about the age or maker would be really nice. it has a concaved base and
the stopper is holed.

Hi LowerSaxony.  Here is a site that maybe of interest to you.   I must say that I am not familiar with yours though.

A Newcastle decanter (according to Miller's). I wonder if these were made in Newcastle or if it's just a shape name? I have one myself although mine is polished on the sides of it.
