Hi....at first glance I thought this was Royal Brierley but I am suspicious of the base. There is some wear to the base, but I suspect it is modern. Any ideas please?
-
I do not know who it is, but it strikes me as modern glass also...

Thanks Craig...yeah I know I've seen something similar but can't place it. :-\

Hi - this reminds me of the glass made at the shortlived Sunderland Glass Works which was situated at the Glass museum in Sunderland (Monkwearmouth). They were active about 3 years and went bump about 2000. Shape, colour scheme (and layout) and finish to rim look right. They did a plainer finish like this and also a more iridised Tiffany style look. Colours were supposed to be inspired by stained glass and Hartley Wood etc. Not 100% sure but certainly very similar.
Cheers,
Richard

That's interesting Richard...I shall have to have a search - thank you :)

Well Richard - I've had a good old search but drawn a blank. I think, if this is Sunderland Glass Works, it could be quite difficult to find one similar, to compare :-\

I have a piece I know was made at Sunderland, but that has a snapped off pontil and is much thicker glass
-
Is it similar Christine...do you have a photo of it? :)
-
No, I don't, but it's nothing like yours at all.
