A rather strange lampwork sculpture. What is it supposed to represent?
Hajdamach II discusses independent lampworkers in the Stourbridge area - can this be attributed to one of them? Who was it made for? Stevens & Williams? Dates?
Thanks for your interest.

What is it supposed to represent - I see two people embracing but the heads leave something to be desired maybe in a stage of evolution.
-
Dancers?
-
If there weren't each two legs and arms would have said seahorses? :pb:
-
I would have said not Victorian :o or earlier Stourbridge. Modern Italy or indeed anywhere 20th C. Lampwork is/was made everywhere.
-
:-[ Reminds me of the Italian segment from the movie Night on Earth, but minus one Vespa.
-
A clear image would help, it is not typical lampwork but far to unclear to assess.
-
I see them as dancers out of some weird Opera or Ballet in costume and head dress or masks . Italian.....! and thats before a drink . My new specs are on order . ::)
-
In fact I thought I'd logged onto the wrong internet site when I first saw what I thought they were doing >:D

Bernard:
You are doubly a very naughty boy. In defence of my posts in the other two threads, it was before midnight in Canada when I made them.

PS Thank goodness for naughty boys.

Well, I had hoped you would have worked it out by reference to my other two posts. Anyway it is genuine Bianconi erotica, and worth a king's ransom, I believe. It has the same status as the other two pieces. Apologies for the picture quality. It was cropped from a larger image that would have made everything much more obvious.
