Title: Unknown Origin : Spiral bottle/vase with cut/polished sides
Post by: squizoid on April 02, 2010, 02:21:37 AM
Hi, had this for a while, but now I need to see whether it is worth saving. I don't know if its a bottle, vase or maybe a perfume holder with a missing stopper? It is 4" high and has a continuous spiral applied, the front and back are cut and polished which is pretty cool when looked through.

Does anyone know anything about this glass item?

I can't help with ID, but I'd save it just because it's so lovely and interesting...  I think it's a beautiful piece, no matter what it is.  :)

This style was used by Correia and other US studios in the 1980s and 90s but I don't recognize it. I believe that a lot of similar work is being produced in other countries today, generally in high volumes.
