This opaque glass vase is a foot high and has this strange, rather Art Deco stylized face on the front. Although the glass is in excellent condition the face seems to have born the brunt of age related wear. I am curious to know if anyone recognises the signature underneath. It looks like and "M" and and "E" to me (but it could just as easily be Japanese).

I'd say this is Bohemian the 'f' looks similar in style to several marks found on a number of factories, finding which one may be difficult,

Hi Fen. Having posted a similar vase to this one, paying specific attention to the base only, I would be enclined to agree with keith. The only thing with mine is there is no signature and the shape of the vase itself is different.
This thread may be of help. http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,31046.0.html
It would be interesting to know what the design on yours is suppose to represent though. Otis ;D

Hi Otis, I think the design is that of a woman's face. I also feel that I have seen this design before somewhere on some glass or other but I am really struggling to remember where. Anyone have a clue?

Just glancing through 'Truitt's Bohemian glass' there are at least four different makers who produced vases with head and shoulder portraits so I think you will have trouble finding the' responsible party'
