Title: 'Shell' on a mirror?

3 inches high,the shell doesn't look very old but the mirror is quite thick and bevelled,no marks,no idea,

Isn't that interesting. I have the shell as well, but without th mirror, and love it because of the effort that's gone into it. Machine threaded, then mould blown, and then the rim has been carefully cut and polished to the shape, base mirror-polished, too. I thought it could possibly be quite old?

Does yours have the cut & polished rim?

Thanks for the reply Cathy,yes it has a cut and polished rim,I've seen small victorian bowls with mirror bases but none with 'shells',
