Title: Id needed please. amethyst vase

I have no ideas about this vase, except that I really like it.  If anyone can give me any clues as to it's maker I would be grateful.

It is 5.5 inches tall at its highest point.

When did you get yours Keith?  I bought mine fairly recently on a well known internet auction site.  Hopefully you have had yours for 30 years or so?  :P
