Title: Daum D'Avesn vase
Post by: chilternhills on April 12, 2010, 12:17:31 PM
I presume this vase is designed by Pierre D'Avesn for Daum.

But what does 'T.C.M' on the base stand for? Does anyone know? I hope it's not too obvious!  :-[

Never seen one marked T.C.M before, I suspect it's simply a former owner's initials. Btw, as far as I'm aware the D'Avesn for Daum attribution comes from Cappa, a source which is not always reliable. I've owned half a dozen of these vases & a few of the related bowls & the only mark I've seen on them is an acid stamp 'Made in France'.
