Does anyone recognise this please ?  Could it be a candle holder ?

Spot on. You pop a tealight candle in the middle and put your teapot on top.

OOoo Well I never. A tealight candle fits perfectly, and its big enough for a teapot  ;D   I never would have thought of that.

There is one of these in a mall near me with a walther label on it & on each petal? there is a letter with the whole thing saying "Tea Time!".  Ken

I've got a very similar teapot warmer...  it's a fabulous device for any tea/coffee drinking glass lover  ;D

Thank you, Anne!  Mine is exactly the same as yours  :)  BTW I thought mine was by WMF, but now I know it's by Georgshutte...  how I love this site ;D
