Unfortunately I can't be of any help, but I just wanted to say it's an absolutely lovely vase.

Many thanks Anik R, it is a nice piece and is very tactile with the fluted body.

Catching up on some older posts, nearly didnt look at this post, your description doesnt do it justice.
Dont recognise it, but certainly has a Czech feel to it.
Very nice.

Hi Andy, yes that was my first call as Czech and  a fellow collector pointed this similar piece in a book Circa glass from Europe & America. Not sure what page it was on but have ordered a copy from the USA. The piece shown was Czech with lots of ????. The vase shown had a twist on the body and was similar in colour.
Many thanks

The mouth, the base, and the weight all look very Czech to me. The ribs a little less so. Was it Pina's book you were referring to, Malcmat? Not her most reliable book. For Czech glass, you're better off with Mark Hill, for blown glass like this.

I'd be interested to hear from Jindrich or Robert.

I agree David, the ribs are a bit too regular for some of the free blown Czech pieces.
Ive got Pinas book, Circa 50s glass, and ive had a good look through, cant see any similar to this one.

Hi Andy and David, Yes it was pina,s book. The vase shown was similar in colour and what stood out was the rim mouth inturned. Even the attribution in the book was inconclusive .Will purchase Mark Hill,s book asap.
Many thanks for the reply.
