Title: Bohemian or English Pitcher and Glasses
Post by: ginfor on April 18, 2010, 02:33:24 AM
I can figure a likely circa 1890 Bohemian or English attribution, but I'd love to come up with more specifics.  Anyone recognize it, especially since the glasses are a bit unusual.  Pitcher is marked S. 106. in the pontil (or that's what I think it says).http://ginforsodditiques.com/s106.html (http://ginforsodditiques.com/s106.html)

Thanks.

Doesn't look English. Bohemian or even Austrian perhaps

Both correct: in the period when it was made, Bohemia was in Austria.

I have the identical set, but it is decorated with a German crest.  Really weird that until a couple of years ago, I also lived in Evansville.  My set, however, was acquired in a German second hand store in 1976.  Off to church & McDonald's with my granddaughter right now, but I'll post some pics this afternoon.
