Hello again  :)

Can someone enlighten me?  Is this a Frantisek Zemek vase for Mstisov-Karlovarske Sklo, or is it something that just looks similar?

I've seen the other queries on the board about Zemek, but I just wanted to make sure.

Hi Anik,
you are absolutely true. Originaly this 4 coloured pieces had been designed by Frantisek Zemek (1913 - 1960)  for Mstisov glassworks.
Later, when Mstisov factory was closed, the production had been transfered to Karlovarske sklo n.p. (Moser)) and fabricated for next several years.

Your piece is probably (I need photoes from other sides) Rhapsody 53177 from 1957.

Would this be a later piece as is seems to have the colours in applied strapping, or strips of glass, rather than the colour in prunts, or blobs? I think Mark has that in his book, which I can't check right now as I'm not at home.

David, I'm pretty sure we've discussed the prunts vs strapping before on the board. If you search on "rhapsody", something should crop up.

Seems to me that you are true in "blobs versus strips" theory. But the difference is in years only.
