No I haven't such a light but I have seen similar animals that were uranium glass???
-
Looks like uranium glass to me. Don't think he's a bear though; he has a very long tail!
-
I think it's Murano, also. The feet look like those of some of the farm animals (horse, cow, bull) that I've seen. I've not been able to track the animals down to a specific maker. The farm animals have a Vetro Artistico Veneziana label when there is a label at all. There is one difference between yours and the farm animals that make me unsure. The farm animals have legs that are fused over halfway down the legs. Your critter appears to have legs that are totally separated.
I still think Murano.

Thanks all for your interest. He has a long tail, you're right but I'm sure he's a bear (don't want to give hime psychological problems due to species confusion!!!!!). I will try to get him under uv and see if he glows!!!
Thanks for the above information I've had another look at his back legs and they are fused together half way up, see below, so given the information above maybe he is of the farm animal stable. Thanks again

That looks like the same type of leg. The legs look like they are cut with a pair of scissors on the lower part and the feet made by bending. It looks like a bear to me, too. Murano animals are ususally not anatomically correct.

Thanks Anita, great site you have (but no bears!) Taking him to my local pub tonight to sample some uv light, we'll see eh
-
Sounds like a *really* good excuse to go to the pub... one of the best I've heard! :24:
-
was a good excuse wasn't it? You'll never believe it but when we got there their light was broken. Looks as if we'll have to make the trip again!!!

A likely tale! :24:
