Any pointers on this Opalescent vase?

Possibly Walsh Walsh Mother of Pearl, hopefully Bernard or Nigel will be able to confirm.

Yes, Walsh mother of pearl.   And it's not opalescent, but a very thin layer of opal glass, probably a lampshade glass, cased in clear crystal.   The whole piece was iridised as a final stage to complete the mother of pearl effect before breaking off the pontil rod.
