Please help confirm if this is a Whitefriars Geoffrey Baxter streaky vase its looks very similar to what I can find but I am not sure as the streaks look thicker .
Height just under 7", diameter 3" and weighs 1048 gm
Thanks Roy

Hi, assuming the turquoisey bit at the top is just reflection from something else, it looks good to me . Pat. 9783, came in three sizes 10" 8" and 7" 1972.
A nice range with quite a few different shapes

Thanks Emmi
Yes its just a reflection on the top , it seems quite dark to look at , you almost have to hold it up to the light to see all the colours and streaks well
Thanks again Roy

Some of them are like that, so not a problem.

I have just purchased the exact same vase from a very reliable source and it is labelled Whitefriars streaky cylindrical vase purple/blue 1971/1973 pattern no 9783 which seems to be confirmed on the Whitefriars site.
I'm not saying what I paid for it (because I like it so it doesn't matter!) but a"valuer" quoted £20-£30 but there is one for sale on EBay now at a buy it now price of £100 so somewhere in between maybe?
-
Depending on the day they go for £40 - £50, a £100 BIN price seems ambitious!
-
That's good of you to reply, I'm all for a bit of ambition now and again but, preferably, :rah: not at my expense!
Anyway I wasn't and it's good to know! :rah:

Sue a year ago you would have paid a lot more damn recession

So we should be buying now as investments for the future - only thing is we haven't got any money because of the recession!
