Hi there
Thanks for all the lovely photos, did you want to ask a question or just share?

Sorry I am new here. I would like to know more about this item and the others I have posted.
-
Photographs of the fittings would help, maybe, to establish period of manufacture and possibly origin. Are there any markings to the metal at all?
-
This is the electrical part of the lamp. There are no markings on the metal.

Ah, the bulbholders look to have been changed to UK bayonet fittings.
It's a shame the metal isn't marked, I was rather hoping that you'd mention WMF. But, as far as I know, they always marked their metal lamp-fittings.
-
Yes, my first thought was WMF too.

Hello,
This is certainly WMF 'Ikora' glass form the 1930's, with the original fittings, having replacement bulb holders - although I believe part of the fitting is actually missing, since the bulb holder on the top doesn't usually sit directly on the chrome cap.
I my experience the metal fittings on these lamps by WMF are marked less than 25% of the one's that I have had over the years. I look on the mark as a bonus, but unnecessary given the glass (which is rarely labelled) is the main part of the item.

I thought it was, but was almost scared to say after the last time!
However, the green in it gives this one away.
Last time: :-[ :-[ :-[ I thought the base was all wrong, but so many other bits did look right.

Stunning piece, (a bit nicer than the lamp base I think).

Very nice  (Sue, again very Mdina in colours.)

Very nice piece. Definitely Ikora, no doubt about it.

Not as nice as the first one, I don't think - I had been considering bidding about £75 for it! :24:
