Hi!
None of the shops I´ve visited lately deserves the title ´junkshop´ more than the one I´ve found
this vase in. Actually there are cardboard boxes turned to piles, which reach the ceiling; the shelves
are cramped - to some extend in up to three layers. Unbelievable...
However - amongst others I found this small clear mould-blown vase. The design with its bumps
looks vaguely similar to Frank Thrower´s ´nipple´ vase. The top rim is exquisitely finished to a
perfect high gloss.
Anyone recognise the design? Is it a Dartington vase (in which case I hope you´ll excuse the metric
measures, pls) or scandinavian perhaps?
It´s ca. 90mm tall and ca. 100mm wide from bump to bump, the top rim is 62mm in diameter
TIA

Looks a little Skruf-ish, maybe?

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated!
Unfortunately I know much too little about Skruf, so I did a quick google - to no avail.
Here´s a base shot (like in the 45° top view you can see the mould lines):

I know little of Skruf too, hence only a tentative suggestion, but the style and finish reminded me of a few Lars Hellsten / Bengt Edenfalk pieces I've seen. Of course, I could be way off the mark. ;D

I know very little about this genre - but to my eye it looks a bit thick for Frank Thrower's Dartington bits, and the design doesn't look "his" either.
Such shops are a joy!

I thought the other way round after Nic´s reply: ´Perhaps a little thin for Skruf?´ ;D
Actually it´s ca. as thick as a small ´Marguerite´, but much lighter due to the thin base.
