Title: Carnival glass compote - ID = "Curved Star" by Brockwitz
Post by: Margi on May 18, 2010, 07:18:53 AM
Good morning

I spent most of last night threading my way through Doty's site but cannot seem to locate the pattern of this item.  Could anyone kindly help please.  Also putting on a carnival flute vase under different topic.
Many thanks
Margi

It is a "Curved Star" footed sugar bowl made by Brockwitz of Germany - they called the pattern "Zurich". For some more info on Brockwitz >

:hiclp:  WOW Glen.  Just viewed the Thistlewood site . . .  "Poor Man's Tiffiny, eh?"  I think not.  Some if not all Carnival glass is truly superb.  You have opened my eyes again.  Will have to dig out my box-full, for I no longer display my carnival items due to lack of space . . .   ... Time for me to have a re-think perhaps!  Jazz :hiclp:
