Title: Unknown purple Tazza
Post by: martalak on May 20, 2010, 10:58:25 AM
One of the other things i found at a French "vide grenier" was this Tazza. At least i think it is a Tazza.
It has no marks and no seam. The three sides where the bowl and the foot are joined are slightly different, as well as the three "foots" (don't know the correct word, and it really is one foot)

The bowl is purple and has a few tiny air bubbles.

Some one knows what this exactly is?

Best regards,
Michael

This type of glassware is quite common in contemporary Polish glassware, though I have no idea if this is one of them or whether it is much older. In case you want to check some Polish makers like Makora or Jozephina, Cathy posted a list of them:

Hello Astrid,

Thanks for your reply. I checked out those Polish glass companies, and indeed Jozefina has a similar piece. Difference is that the Jozefina glass has  a blue spiral, so it's less simple as my piece. I'll try to find out more with your hint about glass from Poland.
