Title: Drinking Glass - Heavy and Bubble in Base
Post by: antiquerose123 on June 11, 2010, 11:32:58 PM
Hi, I only have this one only Drinking Glass that I found.  Heavy, and has the bubble in the base.  About 3.5 inches tall, and 3 inches wide.  Any ideas on the maker?  There is a small  *open* hole on the base...Thxs

Hiya Rose, I *think* these have been on the board before as Polish, made by Krosno, but someone else should be able to confirm.

Hi Anne - yeah I had some other pieces like this that I have posted ---- BUT I am never sure *if* they are always the same company, or if someone else made any similar items.  I did not want to repeat post, but not sure if they are exactly the same either, or if another Company.  I am assuming they are  --- BUT you know what they say when you use the word *ass-u-me*

:24: ;D :spls:  so just making sure..............I  do not have my "GMB Professional Glass-Detective Certificate" Yet.....LOL......slow learner here

Hi Rose,

I do believe it's a Krosno tumbler from the Prestige collection -- one of Krosno's most successful and oldest lines still in production.  See here:  http://www.krosno.com.pl/pl/oferta/kanon/oferta_stala/prestige/

I  must say that I really like Krosno glasses and tumblers.  They're pretty and well-made, and can be used as everyday glassware.
